Umělecká expedice Kongo

In September 2024, a team of 8 artists travelled to the African Congo for 17 days to map the theme of poaching and the protection of endangered species. The result is a unique collection of 8 paintings that capture the artists' experiences and tell a story about the vulnerability of nature, but also the complex search for balance between man and wildlife.

In collaboration with KodlContemporary gallery, we unveiled this collection with an exhibition in the National Theatre's Operational Building B (Václav Havel Square), which ran from 3 March to 21 March 2025. The individual works could be simultaneously auctioned online on the Artslimit auction platform until Sunday 30 March 2025.

All 8 works of art were successfully auctioned online, with the total proceeds of CZK 786,600 supporting the development of awareness-raising activities and the production of a new film about the Czech non-profit organization Save Elephants, which has been working in Central Africa for more than 10 years to protect elephants from poachers.
